Mr Probz’ “Waves” Hits #10 at Pop, Ariana Grande & The Weeknd Go Top 20

It took a while to get going, but Mr Probz’ “Waves” has officially taken flight.

The Dutch singer-songwriter’s breakthrough hit, which was remixed for radio by Robin Schulz, rises to #10 on Mediabase’s official pop radio airplay chart.

“Waves” earns the distinction thanks to the 7,971 spins it received during the October 26-November 1 tracking period. That total represents a week-over-week increase of 1,008 spins, which ranks as pop’s seventh-greatest gain.

While Mr Probz’ song represents the only new addition to the top ten, there is some movement within the top 20 at pop. Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One,” which reached #19 last week, advances three places to #16 this week on the strength of 5,642 spins.

Ariana Grande & The Weeknd’s “Love Me Harder,” meanwhile, rises from #21 to #18 courtesy the 5,365 spins it received this week. Its week-over-week airplay gain of 1,440 was the format’s fourth-largest.

Movement inside the Top 25 includes a four position vault for Fergie’s “LA Love (la la)” (to #21) and a three place climb for Alesso’s “Heroes (we could be – featuring Tove Lo)” (to #23).
