Iggy Azalea’s “Beg for It” Sizzles as Pop’s Most-Added, Gwen, Meghan Follow

Signposted by its vast level of opening day airplay, Iggy Azalea’s new single “Beg for It (featuring MØ)” garnered immense support from the pop radio community.

According to Mediabase, the follow-up to #1 hit “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora)” landed at a whopping 107 monitored pop stations in conjunction with its official impact. That total easily ranks as the format’s greatest this week.

Already a top 40 hit on Mediabase’s rolling pop radio airplay chart, “Beg for It” is in great position to solidify Azalea’s status as a pop radio juggernaut.

Gwen Stefani’s “Baby Don’t Lie” repeats as the format’s second-most-added song. It landed at an additional 63 monitored stations this week.

Meghan Trainor’s “Lips are Movin,” last week’s most-added track, claims third with 30 pickups this week. Down in quantity, the list of adds is certainly not light on quality. Big market stations like New York’s Z100 are now officially in on the follow-up to “All About That Bass.”

Taylor Swift’s new “Blank Space” follows in fourth thanks to 20 pre-impact adds, while Ariana Grande & The Weeknd’s “Love Me Harder” and Eden xo’s “Too Cool to Dance” split fifth-most-added honors with 16 pickups each.

The fifteen adds received by Jessie J’s “Burnin’ Up (featuring 2Chainz)” best the fourteen net by Hozier’s “Take Me to Church.” With twelve adds each, David Guetta’s “Dangerous (featuring Sam Martin)” and Kendrick Lamar’s “i” tie as ninth-most-added.
