Several of country music’s biggest names introduce new music to the Billboard Hot 100 this week, but none arrives with a bigger splash than Carrie Underwood.
Underwood’s new single “Something in the Water,” which was the week’s fourth-best-seller, opens at #24 on the all-encompassing Hot 100. It becomes the sixteenth Top 25 hit of Underwood’s nine-year career (with the “Just Stand Up!” mega-collaboration included).
Other new country entries this week include Jason Aldean’s “Just Gettin’ Started” (#61), Florida Georgia Line’s “Bumpin’ the Night” (#69) and Tim McGraw’s “Shotgun Rider” (#97).
Also new to the Hot 100 this week:
— One Direction’s “Steal My Girl” scores the week’s best debut at #13.
— Lorde’s “Yellow Flicker Beat” opens at #74.
— Alesso’s “Heroes (we could be – featuring Tove Lo)” debuts at #89.
— OG Maco’s “U Guessed It” starts at #94.
