Insofar as ABC’s programming has been subject to notable adjustment when transitioning from the fast national to final data this year, there was reason to hesitate in calling this week’s “Agents of SHIELD” performance a series low.
Now that the final data is available, let the declaration begin. Tuesday’s edition of “SHIELD” delivered all-time low marks in adults 18-49 and total viewers.
Down 0.1 from last week’s mark, “SHIELD” settles at a new low mark of 1.7 in the adults 18-49 demographic. Its viewership tally of 4.73 million, which is also a series low, represents the show’s first audience total shy of the 5 million mark.
Tuesday’s edition of the second season ABC drama, which aired at 9PM, was outdrawn by The CW’s 8PM airing of “The Flash.” That episode drew a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating with 4.79 million viewers.
ABC occupied the 8PM timeslot with “Selfie” (1.2, 3.99 million) and “Manhattan Love Story” (0.9, 3.27 million). It followed “SHIELD” with “Forever” (1.3, 5.35 million) at 10PM.
