Maroon 5’s “Animals” is Again Hot AC’s Most-Added, Sam Smith Follows

Hot adult contemporary radios did not completely ignore newly impacting tracks from Fall Out Boy and Train, but they remained far more captivated with holdovers from Maroon 5 and Sam Smith.

Maroon 5’s “Animals,” which is already up to #19 on Mediabase’s Hot AC airplay chart, repeats as the format’s most-added song.  It garnered support from an additional 27 monitored stations to rank as the most-added track for a second consecutive week and one of the format’s two most-added songs for a third straight frame.

Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One” ranks as second-most-added with 19 new pickups this week.  Already up to #23 on the rolling airplay chart, it has been one of the Hot AC format’s three most-added songs for three consecutive weeks.

OneRepublic’s “I Lived” and Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)” tie for third-most-added with ten new pickups.  Fall Out Boy’s new “Centuries” follows in fifth with nine adds.

Train’s “Cadillac Cadillac” arrives in a three-way tie for sixth place.  Like Nico and Vinz’ “In Your Arms” and Vance Joy’s “Riptide,” it received eight adds at Hot AC this week.

Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be (featuring Jess Glynne),” Ingrid Michaelson’s “Afterlife,” Milky Chance’s “Stolen Dance” and Sia’s “Chandelier” follow in a four-way tie for ninth-most-added.  Each song launched at five monitored Hot AC stations this week.
