Carrie Underwood’s “Something in the Water” Repeats as Most-Added

Still the source of tremendous radio programmer enthusiasm, Carrie Underwood’s “Something in the Water” earns most-added honors for a second consecutive week.

According to Mediabase, “Water” earned support from 87 monitored Mediabase stations in conjunction with this week’s official country radio impact.  Enough to give the song the week’s most-added distinction, the count also tops the 57 adds garnered by the new Underwood tune last week.

A surefire smash, “Something in the Water” leveraged a strong inaugural week of airplay to land at #25 on the Mediabase country radio chart and #17 on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart.  Mediabase says the song commanded 2,138 country radio spins during the September 28 – October 4 tracking period.

“Something in the Water,” which is currently #6 on the iTunes all-genre single sales chart, is the lead release from Underwood’s forthcoming “Greatest Hits: Decade #1” album.
