Update: The 10PM timeslot’s clear leader in adults 18-49, Monday’s “The Blacklist” nonetheless endured an 18% week over-week drop in the demo.
The episode, which was the season’s second, posted a 2.8 rating. Its viewership clocked in at 10.51 million.
Earlier in the night, NBC offered a two hour “The Voice.” Improving upon its premiere in the adults 18-49 demo, the 8-10PM broadcast drew a 4.0 adults 18-49 rating. Its viewership average fell slightly to 12.94 million.

Update: Down 18% from last week’s season premiere mark, NBC’s “The Blacklist” delivered a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating this week.
Leading out of a two-hour “The Voice” (3.9, 12.74 million), NBC’s flagship drama garnered 10.66 million viewers from 10-11PM Monday.
Despite the decline, “The Blacklist” easily won the 10PM hour in adults 18-49. Depending on how the removal of the NFL pre-emption impacts data for ABC’s “Castle,” NBC’s show might have also won the hour among total viewers.

While NBC’s “The Blacklist” is sure to repeat as the adults 18-49 leader at 10PM, its second season two episode endured a hit in the overnight household ratings.
Airing out of a mildly improved “The Voice” (up 1% to an 8.6), 10PM drama “The Blacklist” slipped to a 6.8 overnight household rating.
Ahead of the 6.0 garnered by CBS’ “NCIS: Los Angeles” and in the same ballpark as the 7.1 drawn by ABC’s “Castle” (which is likely inflated due to football pre-emptions in the Boston and Kansas City markets), the number nonetheless trails that of the season premiere by 13%.
Still, considering last week’s episode ended up posting an impressive 3.4 adults 18-49 rating and its second-strongest total viewership to date (12.34 million), a week-over-week drop will not be nearly enough to weaken the show’s standing as a hit.
