Airing in the face of intimidating competition from CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory,” ESPN’s “Monday Night Football,” NBC’s “The Voice” and ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” last week’s “Gotham” premiere still found a way to deliver an impressive 3.2 adults 18-49 rating.

“Detectives Gordon and Bullock investigate a child trafficking ring preying on Gotham’s street kids, including Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova),” says FOX of the second “Gotham” installment. “Meanwhile, Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) resurfaces in the countryside and begins to make his way back to GOTHAM, leaving victims in his wake in the all-new “Selina Kyle” episode of GOTHAM.”
