A few weeks ago, Iggy Azalea’s new single “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora)” moved past breakthrough predecessor “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” on the iTunes Single Sales chart.
This week, it did the same at pop radio.
Per Saturday’s rolling edition of the Mediabase pop chart, which reports on airplay between August 9 and August 15, “Black Widow” commanded more than 300 additional spins.
Ranked #14 during the aforementioned seven day period, “Black Widow” earned 7,190 plays, which represented a week-over-week increase of 559.
Former multi-week #1 “Fancy,” which is currently enduring a free fall at pop radio, ranked #15 with 6,824 spins during the August 9-15 window. Its tally was down 1,546 from that of the previous week.
“Fancy” did, however, command the larger audience during that period. While “Black Widow” only scored 43.08 million pop radio impressions, “Fancy” reached 46.63 million.
As of press time, “Black Widow” holds the #5 position on the iTunes single sales chart. “Fancy” is #21.
