Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” Returns to #1 on iTunes

More than twenty four hours after first achieving the feat, Ariana Grande continues to have three singles in the Top 4 on iTunes’ overall sales chart.

None of those singles, however, is in the #1 position.

Because interest in her latest instant gratification release “Best Mistake (featuring Big Sean)” naturally (albeit barely) cooled, Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” was able to return to the #1 spot it held for the overwhelming majority of last week.

It will likely retain that position until Taylor Swift’s new single debuts next week.

Still a hot seller, “Best Mistake” currently claims #2 on the iTunes chart. Grande is also represented in the Top 4 by “Bang Bang,” her #3 collaboration with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, and “Break Free (featuring Zedd),” her follow-up to smash hit “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea).”

“Problem” is #11 on iTunes.

Trainor, whose “Bass” sold 197,000 copies last week, reached #1 on the latest edition of the Billboard Digital Songs chart. She became the first female to do so with a solo release since Lorde reached the apex with her 2013 breakout “Royals.”

The week’s greatest digital sales gainer for a fourth consecutive week, “Bass” appears at a new peak of #4 on the weekly Billboard Hot 100 chart.
