Update: Relentlessly on the rise, Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” has already reached #5 on iTunes’ overall single sales chart. It was #9 when this report went to print just prior to midnight on July 23.
As of press time, only Jason Aldean’s “Burnin’ it Down,” MAGIC!’s “Rude,” Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me” and Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” are selling at a faster rate.
Becky G’s “Shower” briefly popped into the Top 10 Thursday morning before returning to the #11 position.

Singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor is evidently not the only person who is “All About That Bass.”
The single, which has attracted nearly 4 million video views and recently reached the Top 40 at pop radio, jumped into the top ten on the overall iTunes single sales chart. As of press time, it was the digital retailer’s ninth-best-selling song.
Thanks to consistent growth in its sales, airplay and streaming activity, “All About That Bass” is poised to continue making gains on Billboard’s all-encompassing Hot 100. It reached a new peak of #54 on this week’s chart and appears locked on a path to the Top 40.
While Meghan Trainor’s song has officially made the leap into the Top 10, Becky G’s “Shower” is knocking furiously on the door. The track has spent the past day consistently seated in the #11 slot and is just a handful of sales away from leapfrogging Kenny Chesney’s #10 “American Kids.”
— Positioned ten places back is Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora).” The song, which rose to #45 on this week’s Hot 100, is the #21 song on iTunes’ single sales chart. It should very soon reach the Top 20.
— After spending some time in the low-to-mid 30s, Sam Hunt’s breakthrough “Leave the Night On” officially makes its push towards the Top 25. As of press time, it was the 26th-best-seller on iTunes.
— Echosmith’s “Cool Kids,” which continues to make gains at pop and Hot AC radio, is now #31 on the iTunes sales chart.
— Jason Aldean’s new “Burnin’ it Down” spends a second day in the store’s #1 position. MAGIC!’s “Rude” holds at #2, while Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” (#3), Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” (#4) and Maroon 5’s “Maps” (#5) finish out the top five. The Nico and Vinz song, which appeared to be losing steam, shot back into the Top 5 after the duo performed the tune on Monday’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
