Constantly subject to favorable updates on Mediabase’s pop airplay chart, Charli XCX’s breakthrough solo single “Boom Clap” is also making waves on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.
After rising to a peak of #25 last week, the song, which is featured on the soundtrack to “The Fault in Our Stars,” surges to #20 on this week’s edition of the chart.
Thanks to reasonably steady sales and rapidly growing airplay, “Boom Clap” is destined go higher on the chart in the coming weeks.
“Boom Clap” is the singer-songwriter’s first solo listing on the Hot 100. She previously charted as a featured performer on Icona Pop’s “I Love It,” which peaked at #7, and on Iggy Azalea’s current #1 “Fancy.”
— Landing one place behind “Boom Clap” on this week’s Hot 100 is Trey Songz’ “Na Na.” Cut from the artist’s “Trigga,” which debuted at #1 on this week’s Billboard 200 album sales chart, the song rises ten places to reach a new peak.
— Enrique Iglesias’ “Bailando (featuring Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona)” (featured performer Sean Paul is not listed by Billboard) reaches a new peak of #25. It is up eight places this week.
— Kenny Chesney’s instant country hit “American Kids” enters the Top 40 at #28 this week. Up fifteen places, it is the week’s biggest gainer.
— Becky G’s “Shower,” which also ascends into the Top 40, is the week’s second biggest gainer. It rises fourteen places to #31.
