“Frozen” Wins Album Sales Race, Future Tops Iggy Azalea

Not a surprise: On the strength of 115,000 sales, the “Frozen” soundtrack claimed a twelfth week atop the Billboard 200 album sales chart.

Surprise: Despite the vast buzz and early projections, Iggy Azalea’s “The New Classic” did not claim the chart’s second position.

That honor instead went to Future’s “Honest,” which moved 53,000 copies in its inaugural week. It bested Azalea’s “Classic” by less than 1000 copies.

According to Billboard, Future’s release proved to be the most popular physical album. While buyers purchased 26,000 physical copies of his “Honest,” they only bought approximately 10,000 of Azalea’s album.

Azalea, however, dominated in digital sales. Her total of more than 42,000 topped the 27,000 downloads garnered by the Future album.

The weekly Billboard 200 top ten:

1) Frozen – 115K
2) Honest – Future – 53K
3) The New Classic – Iggy Azalea – 52K
4) G I R L – Pharrell – 21K
5) Testimony – August Alsina – 20K
6) Pop Psychology – Neon Trees – 19K
7) Crash My Party – Luke Bryan – 19K
8) Nashville: On the Record – 18K
9) Pure Heroine – Lorde – 16K
10) You Make Me Brave – Bethel Music – 14K
