Paramore Achieves Career Milestone with “Ain’t it Fun”

The music video for “Ain’t it Fun” features the members of Paramore setting a series of world records.

Thanks to the success of that song, which this week becomes the second Top 40 hit from the trio’s self-titled 2013 album, the band has officially achieved a career milestone.

Never before had one of the band’s albums produced two Top 40 singles.

By rising to number 34 on the weekly Billboard Hot 100, “Ain’t it Fun” joins previous album cut “Still Into You” in the illustrious Top 40 club. That song, first released as a single in 2013, peaked at number twenty four on Billboard’s definitive singles chart.

After failing to score any Top 40 hits from its debut release “All We Know is Falling,” the band reached the top 40 with a single track from each of its subsequent releases. Sophomore album “Riot!” scored with “Misery Business” (26), while follow-up “Brand New Eyes” had its greatest success with ballad “The Only Exception” (24).

And odds are strong that “Ain’t it Fun” is not done rising. Still a top performer on iTunes and a growing favorite at Top 40 radio, “Fun” should move higher before it moves lower.
