The peak of this week’s Billboard Hot 100 looks startlingly similar to last week’s listing.
Pharrell’s “Happy” reigns at number one, Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse (featuring Juicy J)” stays at number two and John Legend’s career high-mark “All of Me” maintains its number three position.
Jason DeRulo’s “Talk Dirty (featuring 2 Chainz),” Bastille’s “Pompeii” and Lorde’s “Team” also hold steady in fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.
Though they swap positions this week, OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars” (#7) and Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love (featuring Jay Z)” (#8) also maintain a tone of familiarity in the Hot 100.
The final two spots of the Hot 100’s top ten, however, bring new blood into the fold.
Thanks to its inclusion in the viral video “First Kiss,” Soko’s “We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow” debuts at number nine. Its 11.5 million registered US streams, meanwhile, secure a number one position on the Billboard Streaming Songs chart.
After months of presence in the top ten of iTunes’ single sales chart, Aloe Blacc’s “The Man” finally becomes a top ten song on Billboard’s Hot 100. It rises to number ten on this week’s chart.
