“Star-Crossed” Overnight Ratings Improve Slightly

Update: The increase was not limited to the overnight metered market numbers. The CW’s “Star-Crossed” also improved in adults 18-49.

Monday’s episode, the third of the series, posted a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with 1.18 million viewers.

Up from last week’s 0.3 rating, the number matches the 0.4 set by the premiere.

“Beauty and the Beast,” which followed, delivered a 0.3 rating with 879,000 pairs of eyeballs watching.

Make no mistake, The CW’s “Star-Crossed” has not transformed into a hit–or even a solid performer–overnight.

It did, however, reverse last week’s decline with a gain in this week’s overnight ratings.

Monday’s “Star-Crossed” posted a 0.9 overnight household rating. While still poor even by CW standards, it represents a slight improvement over last week’s 0.8. It is unclear if the mild improvement in the overnight household ratings will translate into growth in viewership and/or the adults 18-49 rating.

“Beauty and the Beast,” which followed the new drama, posted a 0.7.
