Update: Monday’s “Star-Crossed” posted a paltry 0.3 adults 18-49 rating with 1.13 million viewers.
Both numbers were down from those posted by last week’s premiere.

Sometimes the normal is more haunting than the abnormal.
And after competing against its regular timeslot rivals in NBC’s “The Voice” and CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother,” The CW’s “Star-Crossed” likely wishes it only had to deal with the Winter Olympics.
Monday’s “Star-Crossed” posted a mere 0.8 overnight metered market rating. Down from the already disappointing 1.1 delivered by last week’s premiere, the number does not offer any optimism regarding the show’s long-term prospects.
With “The 100” set to launch next month, “Star-Crossed” represents the fourth of The CW’s new drama entries for 2013-14. It is, thus far, the coldest of those four launches.
