WWE Officially Confirms Hulk Hogan as WrestleMania Host

It was one of the worst kept secrets in pro wrestling. And as of Friday, not even WWE is attempting to conceal the story.

The company has officially confirmed that legendary superstar Hulk Hogan will serve as the guest host of WrestleMania XXX on April 6.

And in an attempt to build anticipation for his role at the Super Bowl of wrestling–and to bring extra eyeballs to WWE on the night of its Network launch–WWE also announced that he will appear on this coming Monday’s WWE RAW.

Why WWE declined to advertise Hogan’s involvement–which was internally confirmed weeks ago–on this past Monday’s RAW will forever remain a mystery. A curiously late announcement nonetheless remains superior to no announcement.

“We are thrilled that Hulk Hogan has returned home to WWE,” said WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon. “It’s fitting to have him help us celebrate 30 years of WrestleMania and usher in a new era with the launch of WWE Network.”

“Words cannot express how excited I am to be back in the WWE family,” said Hulk Hogan. “I only have one question for the WWE Universe: whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild as the host of WrestleMania 30?”
