“I, Frankenstein” Disappoints as “Ride Along” Set Box Office Pace

Nothing–including new release “I, Frankenstein”–will get in the way of a second box office victory for “Ride Along.”

After dominating last week’s box office, the Kevin Hart-Ice Cube vehicle is a surefire bet for another stay at number one. Easily besting runner-up “Lone Survivor” and newcomer “I, Frankenstein,” “Ride Along” claimed $6.3 million for first place at the Friday box office.

“Survivor” and “Frankenstein” trailed with $3.6 million and $2.8 million, respectively.

Underwhelming “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” held fourth with $2.6 million, while “The Nut Job” cracked into fifth with its own $2.6 million.
