CBS Confirms Taylor Swift, Macklemore, McCartney for Grammys

They have not yet been formally advertised as performers, but nominees Taylor Swift and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will definitely be involved in the 56th Annual Grammy Awards broadcast.

CBS name-dropped the two acts, which will compete against each other in the Album of the Year race, in a promo that ran during Saturday’s NFL showdown between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts.

Others announced in the spot were Katy Perry, Lorde, P!nk & Nate Ruess, LL Cool J, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

To date, Perry, Lorde, P!nk and Ruess had already been confirmed as Grammys performers, while LL Cool J will return as host at the January 26 ceremony.

CBS did not specify the type of involvement Swift, Macklemore, Lewis and the two ex-Beatles will have at the show, but odds strongly favor live performances. Of the acts, Starr is the only one not nominated for a Grammy this year.

In a pair of press releases, CBS previously revealed several acts for the live show. In addition to Perry, Lorde, P!nk (with Ruess), the network also announced Metallica (with Lang Lang), Robin Thicke (with Chicago), Daft Punk (with Nile Rodgers, Pharrell and Stevie Wonder), Kendrick Lamar (with Imagine Dragons) and Merle Haggard (with Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton) for the live show.
