Lorde, Imagine Dragons Score Record of the Year Grammy Nominations

Though names like Lorde and Imagine Dragons were shockingly omitted from Best New Artist consideration, they will be in the mix for a more significant Grammy Award: Record of the Year.

As expected, Lorde’s “Royals” and Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive” are among the ubiquitous songs nominated for Record of the Year.

Others vying for the award, which will be distributed at the Grammys ceremony this January, are Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven,” Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky (featuring Pharrell)” and Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines (featuring TI and Pharrell).”

“Royals” and “Locked Out of Heaven” are also up for the annual Song of the Year award.
