Lorde, Macklemore Score Grammy Nominations for Song of the Year

Lorde and Macklemore, two of music’s hottest newcomers in 2013, will by vying for one of the year’s “Big Four” Grammys.

Announced during Friday’s “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live,” the two will be represented in the “Song of the Year” category by their respective hits “Royals” and “Same Love.”

An award for songwriting, other nominees in the category include “Just Give Me a Reason,” performed by P!nk and Nate Ruess, “Locked Out of Heaven,” performed by Bruno Mars and “Roar,” performed by Katy Perry.

Hosted by LL Cool J, the CBS special was set to reveal nominations for other key categories, including Record of the Year, Best New Artist and Album of the Year.
