No longer television’s most buzzworthy series, ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” now in its seventeenth cycle, continues to thrill nearly 15 million viewers per week.
And after a season’s worth of entertainment, those viewers–and everyone else with a thirst for pop culture updates–finally learned who was taking home the mirror ball trophy.
That winning couple, revealed during Tuesday’s season finale, was star Amber Riley and her pro partner Derek Hough.
With the win, Hough extends his streak of victories to two. Both victories–the first with “American Idol” alumna Kellie Pickler and the second with former “Glee” star Riley–came from a pairing with a celebrity who made her name on FOX.
The win was Hough’s fifth overall.
Corbin Bleu and partner Karina Smirnoff finished second, while Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke settled for third.
