FOX Gives “Brooklyn Nine Nine” Full Season, Super Bowl Chance

The television season’s funniest new comedy will get the whole season to make its mark.

FOX announced Friday that critically acclaimed series “Brooklyn Nine Nine,” which stars Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher and comes from “Parks & Recreation” forces Dan Goor and Michael Schur, received a back nine order. That brings its inaugural run to 22.

“It’s exciting to see that both critics and fans love BROOKLYN NINE-NINE as much as we do,” said FOX’s Kevin Reilly. “With Andy and Andre out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time.”

In addition, FOX confirmed that “B-9-9” will air out of “New Girl” on Super Bowl Sunday. Now in its third season, “New Girl,” as FOX announced months ago, will receive the coveted Super Bowl lead-in on February 2, 2014

And while airing out of “New Girl” is not the same as airing out of the Super Bowl, the opportunity should still be enough to give “Brooklyn” its largest audience to date.
