Neither was a hit on the level of Lorde’s anticipated debut “Pure Heroine” (#3), let alone Justin Timberlake’s blockbuster “The 20/20 Experience Part 2,” but buzzworthy releases from Tyler Farr and HAIM still bowed respectively on the album sales charts.
Originally pegged by Billboard for a debut in the 15K range, Tyler Farr’s “Redneck Crazy” overperformed by moving 29,000 units for a fifth-place finish.
Critically-acclaimed rock act HAIM, meanwhile, claimed sixth place. Also exceeding initial forecasts, the sister act’s “Days are Gone” moved 26,000 copies.
Other top twenty debuts should include Nelly’s “MO” (~15K) and All Time Low’s “Don’t Panic: It’s Longer Now” (~14K).
