Aca-scuse me, Ellie Kemper fans, but you will have to make peace with another actress in the role of Cassie on “How I Met Your Mother.”
TVLine reported Thursday that “Pitch Perfect” and “True Blood” actress Anna Camp, not Kemper, will play the role described as “one of the most attractive, available, and — as Ted discovers — unfortunate guests at Barney and Robin’s wedding” in the upcoming ninth season of “How I Met.”
Though the character is only confirmed for one episode, a conflict in Kemper’s scheduled prevented “The Office” star from moving forward with the role.
“How I Met Your Mother” commences its ninth and final season on September 23.
