VMAs Performance: Miley Cyrus Gets Sexual, Joins Robin Thicke

Hoping to ignite some sexuality, an early MTV Video Music Awards performance was far more effective at spurring bewilderment.

Miley Cyrus’ overtly sexual routine, which kicked off a medley of her “We Can’t Stop” and Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and “Give It 2 U,” seemed to completely confuse the audience in attendance at Sunday’s awards broadcast.

Early reaction from bloggers and social media users was no more kind, but at the end of the day, the buzzworthy performance will likely translate into downloads for “We Can’t Stop” and her new single “Wrecking Ball.” So one cannot completely write off the performance.

But was it entertaining? Be the judge – MTV provided video of the Miley Cyrus-Robin Thicke medley:

Miley Cyrus performs her hit single “We Can’t Stop” with huge teddy bears onstage before going into a medley with Robin Thicke, Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz.
