“The Bridge” Rating Slips, But Viewership Rises

Though it seems to have found a reasonably steady audience, FX’s “The Bridge” is still subject to minor rises and falls in the weekly ratings game.

This week’s coin managed to land on both sides. In growing its audience to 1.66 million, viewership rebounded slightly from last week’s low, but the show simultaneously suffered a decline to a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating.

Given its stability and FX’s need for programming following its upcoming network split, the show remains very much in the game for a renewal. Its softer past few airings seemingly took an early, automatic renewal off the table, but fans have no reason to dread an update about the show’s future.

With a 0.6 rating and 1.70 viewers, the comparable seventh episode of “The Americans” drew a nearly-identical rating earlier this year. “The Americans” was renewed for a second go-around.
