Hunter Hayes, OneRepublic Reap Rewards of “The Voice” Performances

Singles from the three “The Voice” finalists have slipped from peak positions on the iTunes sales charts, but several of the celebrity performers are still benefiting from the exposure.

Leading the charge is Florida Georgia Line, whose “Cruise” remix is sitting in the top five on the overall iTunes singles chart.  The remix, which features a guest appearance from Nelly, has been a fixture of the top fifteen for many weeks, but the exposure on Tuesday’s “Voice” finale has certainly preserved the momentum.

“Treasure,” the latest single from Bruno Mars, sits at number six after the singer-songwriter’s performance on Tuesday’s broadcast.

A clear beneficiary of “The Voice” is OneRepublic.  “Counting Stars,” which the group performed with runner-up Michelle Chamuel, has rapidly surged to number eight on the chart.

Hunter Hayes’ “I Want Crazy” has ascended from the mid-thirties to number nine on the heels of Hayes’ duet version with “Voice” winner Danielle Bradbery; the release of his deluxe album likely played a complementary role in fueling that fire.

Bradbery, thought to be the show’s most commercially-viable winner, does not presently have a single in the iTunes Top 50, although her performance collection is ranked fourth on the iTunes album chart.  Given the chart’s inclusion of three high-profile hip-hop albums from Kanye West, J. Cole and Mac Miller, fourth is realistically the best position for which Bradbery could have hoped.

Michelle Chamuel’s collection sits at number thirteen, while third-place finalists The Swon Brothers own number sixteen.
