NBC: “The Voice” Finale Ratings Impress Despite NBA Finals

The nailbiter game six between the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat provided immense competition, but NBC’s season finale of “The Voice” still managed solid ratings.

According to NBC, Tuesday’s two-hour finale averaged a 4.3 adults 18-49 rating with 15.3 million viewers. Down slightly in the demo from last May’s finale, which drew a 4.4, the show attracted 3.4 million more viewers to become the most-watched “Voice” finale to date.

An upward adjustment in the final data might give this week’s finale the adults 18-49 edge over last spring’s episode, but there is no chance it will top the demo rating for the winter season three finale, in which Cassadee Pope was revealed as the winner.

“The 4.3/12 for “The Voice” is only half a ratings point below last season’s finale that was held in mid-December, which is a much more viewer-friendly time period than mid-June when many are on vacation and daylight savings time being a factor,” explains NBC.

Tuesday’s finale crowned teenage country singer Danielle Bradbery as the reality competition’s fourth winner.
