“Big Bang Theory,” “Two and a Half Men” Ratings Surge Against Repeats

The lack of original competition helped NBC’s “Chicago Fire” dazzle on Wednesday, and it gave a similar boost to CBS’ flagship comedies Thursday.

Fueled by original competition only from FOX’s dud of a broadcast in “Mobbed,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “Two and a Half Men” rose to season highs.

“Big Bang” delivered a whopping 6.0 adults 18-49 rating with 19.0 million viewers, while “Men” improved considerably to a 4.6 and 15.4 million viewers.

CBS’ drama “Person of Interest” also received a boost for a season high 3.4 rating and 16.1 million viewers, while “Elementary” was solid with a 2.5 and 11.4 million.
