“Two and a Half Men” Ratings Slip Slightly, “How I Met,” “Broke Girls” Dominant

Another Monday meant another dominant ratings victory for CBS’ comedy lineup, although not all shows were up over their previous airings.

Even against almost no competition, “Two and a Half Men” was down slightly, scoring a 5.0 adults 18-49 rating with 15.0 million viewers. Still, the Ashton Kutcher-led “Men” is pacing ahead of last season’s performance and critics are slowly warming to the new creative dynamic; it is hard to view the revamped “Men” as anything but a victory for CBS.

“Mike & Molly” led out with a healthy 4.2 and 12.7 million. It is unclear “M&M” would work as a self-starter in a different timeslot, but it continues to perform well as a “Men” counterpart.

Earlier in the night, the team of “How I Met Your Mother” and “2 Broke Girls” again impressed; “Mother” scored a 4.5 with 11.7 million viewers, while “Broke Girls” managed a 4.6 and 12.8 million.

“Hawaii 5-0” closed the CBS night with a 3.0 and 10.8 million.

(Note: The earliest portion of CBS’ schedule received a pre-emption benefit from CBS’ San Diego airing of the Monday Night Football game. It is possible the ratings will fall slightly in the finals)
