Going into Tuesday’s annual airing of the “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,” the buzz felt stronger than it ever had before. It felt like a minor television “event”–not just an innocuous way for men to drool and women to put their self-esteem to the test.
Sure enough, early reports indicate that “Victoria’s Secret” drew a whopping 4.6 adults 18-49 rating with 10.3 million viewers. TVBTN says the adults 18-49 performance is a record for the special.
Earlier in the night, CBS scored with its annual broadcast of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” The holiday favorite was a hit with a 4.0 in the demo and 12.7 million viewers.
A “NCIS” re-run bridged the gap with a 2.9 and 13.4 million at 9PM.
Over on FOX, “Glee,” had its annual “Rudolph Night improvement,” jumping slightly to a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating with 7.8 million viewers. “The New Girl” followed at an improved 3.6 with 7.6 million, while “Raising Hope” was at a 2.4 with 5.3 million.
