“Once Upon a Time” Ratings Stay Hot, “Allen Gregory” Falls

It again declined slightly, but ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” still looks like a winner–and definitely still seems deserving of its full season order.

The show dipped to a 3.7 adults 18-49 rating Sunday, which tied FOX’s “The Simpsons” for the best non-football rating in the timeslot (thanks to another low-rated “Allen Gregory,” ABC cleanly placed second to NBC in the hour). “OUAT” garnered a healthy viewership of 11.4 million.

Though “The Simpsons” provided a slightly weaker lead-in, “Allen Gregory” fell by more than a proportionate amount, dropping to a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating with 4.3 million viewers. This is not a terrible demo performance in 2011, but for a new animated show sandwiched between staples “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy” (which, admittedly, is lighter on buzz this year, landing at a 3.0 with 5.7 million last night), it really should be performing more admirably.

“American Dad” remains a compatible post-“FG” choice; it garnered a 2.5 with 4.8 million.
