It, expectedly, dipped slightly in the overnight ratings, but FOX’s “New Girl” continues to be a strong performer in its Tuesday timeslot.
The show held at a 6.0 metered market rating, down only 5% from last week’s showing. That should again mean an adults 18-49 rating of 4.0 or higher, a massive home run for a quirky new comedy launch.

“Glee,” meanwhile, looks to have continued its slight decline to a 6.1 rating–although such a small dip might not be noticeable in the fast nationals. It is, however, worth noting that the hype from media outlets that this was the “best ‘Glee’ episode ever” had no obvious impact on the ratings.
The statement, based on FOX proudly screening the episode for critics late last week, was also a sign of how far “Glee” has fallen. While the episode was a major improvement from recent offerings, thanks in large part to Harry Shum, Jr’s work as Mike Chang, it still paled in comparison to the top episodes from season one.
