Joe Rogan Responds to NBC’s “Fear Factor” Reboot, Hosting Update

His “Fear Factor” hosting duty remains a well-known part of his resume, and according to sources and the comedian and UFC commentator himself, Joe Rogan has neither ruled out nor been ruled out for a return in NBC’s planned reboot.

While nothing is set in stone in terms of scheduling, a casting announcement has indeed gone out for new contestants, and NBC’s alternative programming head Paul Telegdy has spoken about bringing back the genre-definining reality series.

Endemol’s David Goldberg, meanwhile, told EW that while Rogan has not yet been signed to return as host, he is certainly in contention.

“Joe was a great host,” said Golberg. “I think his brand and his personality is associated with this show. This has all happened fairly fast. We’ll sit down with Joe and see if something he even wants to do. He’ll certainly be very high on the list.”

As for Rogan’s opinion, he Tweeted, “To answer all the Fear Factor tweets, I’m not exactly sure what’s happening. Nothing is concrete at the moment. Should I do it again?”

“Fear Factor” debuted on NBC in 2001, where it aired until 2006.
