While television news on Tuesday belonged to FOX, which dumped all of its bubble series and picked up a number of pilots, Wednesday is centered on NBC. And the news is already kicking off with a big surprise.
According to various sources, “Wonder Woman” is no longer a serious contender for a pickup at the Peacock. Buzz had definitely cooled on the David E. Kelley adaptation/reboot in recent weeks, but given all the fanfare and hype earlier in the development season, it still comes as a shock that NBC is likely going to pass on the series outright.
The news is not all bad for Kelley and his fans, however. Variety and Deadline both report that “Harry’s Law,” which delivered big viewership numbers but a modest adults 18-49 performance in its freshman season, is likely to score a second season renewal.
