“Dancing with the Stars” pro and country singer Julianne Hough is finalizing plans to join the cast of “Rock of Ages,” THR reported Thursday.
Hough will play the Sherrie in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical, which also stars Tom Cruise and Mary J. Blige.
“It was a star-is-born moment,” said director Adam Shankman of Hough’s audition process.
According to THR, Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand are also negotiating to join the cast of the film, which was penned by Chris D’Arienzo.
