They are among the youngest performers remaining in the competition, and their audition, Hollywood and Las Vegas footage was inconsistent, but Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina are currently billed as the favorites to win season ten of “American Idol.”
BetUS.com currently lists the odds on McCreery and Alaina at +600, slightly edging the +650 for Casey Abrams, the +700 for Julie Zorrilla and the +750 for Paul McDonald. Jacob Lusk comes in at +900.
Of note is how little chance the line gives some extensively-promoted contestants. Clint Jun Gamboa and Jordan Dorsey, for instance, are rated the least likely to win at +3500. Both have received high marks for their singing but made enemies for their antics during the group round in Hollywood.
Similarly low on the totem pole are well-featured contestants Haley Reinhart and Brett Loewenstern–both are at +3000 (along with Tatynisa Wilson). Judge and producer favorite Thia Megia is only listed at +2500, in a tie with judge favorite Ashthon Jones.
The rest of the list: Pia Toscano +1000, Kendra Chanetelle +1500, Stefano Langone +1500, Tim Halperin +1500, Robbie Rosen +1600, James Durbin +1600, Karen Rodriguez +1600, Naima Adedapo +1600, Jovany Barreto +1800, Lauren Turner +2000, Rachel Zevita +2000.
