Though not at the apex of the Hollywood A-list community, “Social Network” star Jesse Eisenberg anchored a successful edition of “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.
The episode, which featured Nicki Minaj as a musical and occasional sketch-guest and a cameo from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, drew a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating. That tied the second-best demo mark of the season, falling only behind the football-fueled edition hosted by Jim Carrey on on January 8.
— After getting off to a somewhat lukewarm start, “Royal Pains” built on its midseason premiere ratings with a 1.2 rating and 4.34 million viewers Thursday. Freshman lead-out “Fairly Legal” benefited with improved viewership of 4.10 million, although its demo rating sank a tenth to a 1.0.
The boost might be somewhat misleading, however, as the shows faced no original competition from ABC or CBS. Only ABC was in re-runs for the premiere episodes.
— Last week’s “Jersey Shore” fell slightly from the prior week’s record-setting mark, delivering a still-dominant 4.5 adults 18-49 rating with 8.83 million viewers.
