While the first insight into Kaval’s sudden WWE release came via a PWInsider report that the departure was amicable and in response to creative’s lack of plans for the wrestler’s character, top WWE Superstar John Cena speculates that something potentially more serious is at play.
“CeNation. Behind as always. I guess wwe has released kaval,” Tweeted Cena Thursday night. “I have no clue why but this close to holiday would probally mean that it is pretty serious business.”
When a fan criticized Cena for speculating on such a serious issue, Cena replied, “It just doesn’t seem to make sense. U do have a point [in criticizing the hasty response]. I know nothing of the situation so I will w8t n see.”
Kaval, known on the indy scene as Low-Ki, won season two of WWE NXT as the clear fan favorite, yet since moving onto SmackDown, his push has been nowhere near as extensive as that of season one winner Wade Barrett.
