“Glee” Ratings Jump for Gwyneth Paltrow, “No Ordinary Family” Sinks

Gwyneth Paltrow’s heavily-hyped guest appearance helped fuel ratings growth for Tuesday’s episode of “Glee,” which in turn spurred an improved performance for FOX lead-out “Raising Hope.”

“Glee” rose to a 4.9 adults 18-49 rating with 11.64 million viewers. The performance was easily enough to win the evening and, unless this week’s “Modern Family” enjoys an especially successful evening, should be enough to give “Glee” the demographic victory for all scripted programming this week.

“Raising Hope” rose to a 2.7 with 6.13 million viewers.

“Glee”‘s growth at 8PM was countered by a sizable downturn for ABC’s “No Ordinary Family.” The superhero-themed series sank to a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating with 6.69 million viewers, effectively putting it on par with “The Event” as far as freshman disappointments are concerned. Lead-out “Dancing with the Stars” averaged a 3.3 and 17.22 million viewers, while “Detroit 1-8-7” was good for a 1.8 and 8.36 million.
