Taylor Swift often keeps things conservative on the red carpet, but her few past risks–including totally straightening her hair and trying leggier dresses–have generally worked well.
Sometimes, however, risks are not needed. It is just a matter of finding makeup and a dress color that click. That was the case with her red carpet appearance at the 44th annual CMA Awards.
While bright red lipstick took away from her allure once on stage, her makeup on the red carpet was an absolute style victory. Swift did not look strikingly different than usual–just better, truly coming across as a glamorous red carpet beauty.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow arrived ahead of her big CMA Awards performance debut, while Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride, as usual, had no trouble standing out.
