“Community” Webisodes with Dean Pelton Debut, NBC Cancels New Series “Undercovers”

— While most of NBC’s roster, including the low-rated “Chase,” managed to secure full season pickups, the luck did not extend to “Undercovers.”

NBC confirmed Thursday that the low-rated drama has been officially canceled. Despite the constant name-dropping of producer JJ Abrams, the show never got going from a ratings standpoint, and its most recent airing Wednesday scored a mere 1.3 adults 18-49 rating with 5.91 million viewers.

Fans of the series can take some comfort in the fact that the network has, nonetheless, indicated an interest in airing the remaining produced episodes.
