Jason Aldean’s “My Kinda Party” Album Sales Top Mariah Carey, Neil Diamond

Fresh off its million-plus opening sales week, Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” will have no trouble extending its reign to next week’s album sales chart. There are, however, some new contenders making waves.

Leading the pack of new entries will be Jason Aldean’s “My Kinda Party.” Based on one day sales figures, Hits Daily Double has the album’s first week forecast at 175-200,000.

That figure will easily give Aldean the edge over Mariah Carey, whose “Merry Christmas II You” is on pace for 50-60,000 first week purchases.

Other debuts include Neil Diamond’s “Dreams” (forecast at 30-35,000), Matt & Kim’s “Sidewalks” (20-25,000) and Brad Paisley’s “Hits Alive” (20-25,000).
