“Glee” has dedicated several of its episodes to the salute of pop stars like Madonna, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears, and according to Entertainment Weekly, it will soon be the subject of another show’s tribute.
EW reports that an upcoming episode of NBC’s “The Office” will focus on the characters getting together to watch an episode of “Glee.” No cast members from the FOX musical comedy will actually guest in the episode, however.
— As for “Raising Hope,” one of FOX’s other Tuesday comedies, the show has officially received a back nine order from FOX. While the show has not performed phenomenally in the ratings and routinely loses a large chunk of its “Glee” lead-in, it has held up better than its own lead-out “Running Wilde” and currently represents the network’s best chance at launching a stable new live action comedy.
“With ‘Raising Hope,’ Greg Garcia captures a smart take on the working-class family with a great mix of wild comedy and a big dose of heart,” said FOX’s Kevin Reilly. “The show is running like a Swiss clock, and we’re very happy with how well audiences have responded so far – so we’re confident it will build an even bigger audience throughout the season.”
