“Jersey Shore” Ratings For Sammi, JWoww Aftermath Impress Against NFL

“Jersey Shore” failed to set another viewership record for the follow-up episode to the Sammi “Sweetheart” vs. Jenni “JWoww” Farley fight, but up against intense competition from the NFL, Thursday’s episode managed to post another impressive number.

And, even though total viewership was down slightly from last week, the audiences in the show’s target female demographic actually built on last week’s milestone performance.

Although the bulk of “Shore”‘s target crowd would not have been in direct alignment with that of the NFL season kickoff game between the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints, when a show goes against a game that scores a massive 10.7 adults 18-49 rating with 27.485 million viewers, there is always cause for concern.

“Shore,” however, barely slid from last week’s record-breaking viewership performance, garnering an identical 3.3 adults 18-49 rating and a slightly-smaller audience of 6.380 million. Among women 18-34, the audience actually nearly jumped 10% to a 6.5 rating, topping last week’s 6.0. The teen number, however, was down from a 6.7 to a 6.1.
