“Modern Family” Pilot Wins Emmy Award for Writing

The “Modern Family” success continues at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards–the freshman sitcom scored the Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series Emmy for the pilot episode.

Writers Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd picked up the award; Levitan accepted the award on behalf of the comedy duo.

Other nominees included “30 Rock” (for two episodes), “Glee” and “The Office.”
