WWE Fatal 4 Way News: John Cena Cuts Unaired Promo on NXT Invaders

WWE’s Fatal 4 Way pay-per-view officially left the airwaves prior to 10:40PM EST Sunday night, but the action was not over the for the live fans.

Following the NXT beatdown, which resulted in Sheamus “stealing” the title from incumbent champion John Cena, WWE’s most popular Superstar cut a promo for the live crowd. The comments furthered Cena’s position as the central babyface involved in the ongoing NXT Invasion storyline.

Notes on the promo (courtesy Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com):
— Cena said there is a black cloud shadowing over WWE.

— His frustration was not with losing the title but because the “universe he fights for” has had its television and PPVs taken over by the NXT group.

— The NXT Invaders might think they can do what they want, but he and the WWE fans are still standing.

— He says that regardless of the fans’ opinion on his ability to wrestle, he can fight. He promises to take on all seven NXT ‘graduates’ until standing above all of them.

— He teased another confrontation for Monday’s RAW.
