The young actresses join franchise veterans Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox in the upcoming reboot/sequel, which will be helmed by Wes Craven and penned by Kevin Williamson.
Regarding rumors that Roberts is filling a leading role originally designated for “Twilight”‘s Ashley Greene, a studio source told E, “Despite reports of Ashley Greene being in negotiations to join the cast, Emma was the first and only choice by the filmmakers to play the lead role.”
